Happy Anniversary To The The Oaks Club!

Happy Anniversary To The The Oaks Club!

The Oaks Club in Osprey Florida is celebrating its pearl anniversary this year—that’s 30 years for those of you that haven’t been married that long—and happily, the community life is more vibrant than ever. This Sarasota private golf club development has more equity members than ever, and it’s about to embark on a series of upgrades that will make this amenity-laden community, an even more attractive place to call home.

Clubhouse And Golf Course Upgrades

These upgrades will include significant changes to both the clubhouse and the Heron golf course (one of the community’s two championship-style golf courses). Plans have been revealed for substantial improvements to the interior areas of the Oaks Club 40,000-square-foot Georgian-style clubhouse. Meanwhile, the golf course will be getting an extensive redesign.

Better Landscaping And Better Golfing!

The work will begin in September 2014 and will include completely changing the surface of the course. This will result in improved drainage and irrigation. For course users, that will translate to several advantages. Playability will be improved in certain sections and the landscaping will benefit from more interesting and fun contours. In addition, there will be improvements to bunkers and greens complexes and a new teeing system will accommodate the complete range of skill levels.

Oaks Club Real Estate: A Place For Those With A Generous Heart

But it’s not just facilities that make a community, it’s the people too. The Oaks Club membership consists of both residents and non-residents and seems to attract those with a generous heart. The club does a lot of charity work and beneficiaries have included the Special Olympics, Ronald MacDonald House and the Sarasota Memorial Hospital. The Women’s Club, which has about 400 members, is particularly active. Last year they raised $35,000 to fund scholarships for seven female high school students in the region.

Oaks Club People Are Young At Heart

The Oaks Club clearly has a vibrant and active community. According to Jeff Hartigan, the General Manager, there are more than 300 children and young adults age 25 or below and a typical new resident is now just 59 years old. It’s easy to understand why homes for sale in Oaks Club are so popular. We have already seen the vibrant community life the club fosters, and of course, there’s the two excellent and enjoyable golf courses.

Quiet And Peaceful Is How To Characterize Oaks Club Homes

But there is also the neighborhood itself. Thirty-years on, it’s a well-established gated community with mature trees and landscaping, making it a quiet and peaceful atmosphere for the residents of the 750 Oaks Club homes. The location is great. It’s situated on over 1,000 acres just south of downtown Sarasota. And the Club itself features three restaurants, 12 tennis courts, a pool complex, croquet grounds, a guest lodge and an active social calendar, in addition, of course to the golf courses.

At 30 years young, the community is more desirable than ever and the reason why, couldn‘t be more obvious. If you’re in having a look at a home for sale in Oaks Club, why not check out this Oaks Club listing.
